Mrs. Jessica L. Smith
Jessica Smith graduated from Irwin County High School in 2003. She attended ABAC and received Associate degrees in K-12 Education and Art. She graduated from Georgia Southwestern State University in 2008 with a Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education and began teaching at Turner County Elementary School. She later obtained her Master's degree from Valdosta State University in Accomplished Teaching and her Specialist degree from Georgia Southwestern State University in Early Childhood Education. After teaching five years at Turner County Elementary School, she began teaching second grade at Ben Hill Primary School in 2013 and then first grade in 2021. Mrs. Smith is currently BHP's art teacher for students in Kindergarten, first, and second grades. She is gifted certified and served as Ben Hill County District Teacher of the Year for 2018-2019. This year, she is helping coach the BHMS Competition Cheerleaders and is BHP's Parent Involvement Liaison.
